What Is a Spa Pool?
A spa pool is a heated, above-ground tub with built-in massage jets and seating for relaxation and hydrotherapy. Unlike a swimming pool, a spa pool is compact, self-contained, and can be installed on most outdoor surfaces with minimal preparation. It heats to your set temperature and stays ready to use year-round.
Spa pools are also commonly called hot tubs. In Australia the terms are used interchangeably. If you have been searching for hot tubs in Australia, you are in the right place.

Choosing the Right Spa Pool Size
What Comes Included With Every Spa Pool
Every spa pool in our range comes as a complete setup. Included as standard across all models:
- Balboa Control System — USA-made, industry standard. Controls temperature, jets, and lights.
- Full Foam Insulation — Insulates the entire shell, not just the base. Keeps heat in and running costs down.
- Lockable Hardcover — Thermal insulated cover included in the price. Reduces heat loss when not in use.
- LED Lighting — Underwater LED lighting included as standard across all models.
- Ozone Sanitation — Reduces chemical demand and keeps water cleaner between treatments.
Steps and heat pumps are available as optional additions. Call 1300 185 338 to confirm current inclusions and any promotional offers before ordering.
Spa Pool vs Hot Tub
In Australia, spa pool and hot tub refer to the same product and the terms are used interchangeably. Both describe a heated, jetted tub for outdoor relaxation and hydrotherapy. There is no meaningful difference between them.
Spa Pool vs Swim Spa
A spa pool is designed for soaking, relaxation, and hydrotherapy. A swim spa adds a counter-current jet system that lets you swim in place, making it suited for fitness and exercise as well. Spa pools start from $4,790 and suit most backyards. Swim spas start from $13,390 and are longer units ranging from 3.9m to 7.8m. If your main use is relaxation and entertaining, a spa pool covers it. If you also want to swim or exercise at home, a swim spa gives you both in one unit.
Running Costs and Energy Efficiency
Running costs depend on model insulation, thermostat settings, local electricity rates, and how often you use the jets. All our spa pools come with full foam insulation and a lockable hardcover as standard. Most customers report weekly running costs of $10 to $20. Adding a heat pump reduces heating electricity by up to 70 percent compared to electric-only heating.
Delivery and Installation
We deliver spa pools to all major Australian states from our six national warehouse locations. You need a flat reinforced concrete slab or approved compacted base ready before delivery, and a licensed electrician to complete the electrical connection to comply with AS/NZS 3000. Our team is available Monday to Friday 10am to 9pm and Saturday to Sunday 9am to 3pm.
